Role:
Based in Austin, TX, our Field Marketer/Event Coordinator is responsible for finding and executing local event activations promoting the Honey Smoked Fish Co. family of products. You act as our “boots on the ground” – we’re counting on you to introduce consumers to HSF products, create excitement surrounding the brand, and encourage purchases at one of our retail locations.
As a Field Marketer/Event Coordinator, you are responsible for:

• Executing on average 2 events per week, including small and large events, events include community/neighborhood events, sporting events, races, festivals, in-store sampling, industry tradeshows, etc.

• Preparing for each event – picking up sales materials and product from cold storage facility, driving branded vehicle to event, setting up event.
• Executing the event – telling consumers about the brand, giving out samples and coupons to drive in-store purchases.
• Tearing down each event – clean up event area/booth, put materials into brand vehicle, recapping event for Marketing team back in Denver.
• Becoming a Honey Smoked Fish Co. product expert, educating consumers on product attributes, health benefits, and usage occasions.
• Working with the VP of Marketing to find local events that align with the brand. Coordinating logistics with the events’ respective reps.
• Executing in-store demos at local retailers, work with local retailer store managers to execute retailer-specific demos, for example store openings and store celebrations.
• Proper storage and handling of refrigerated products. Food Safety training and refrigerated resources will be provided.
• Creating a positive, consumer-friendly atmosphere at every activation.

You will be required to work Saturday’s and/or Sunday’s depending on event schedule. Roughly 80% of your role will be weekend work. Accommodations can be made with advance notice.This role is remote from our company headquarters in Denver, CO. 95% of your role will be based on-site at activations in the Austin market, and the remaining 5% of administrative reporting work can be done in a location of your choosing.This role offers upward mobility into a salary position as we continue to grow. • High School education or equivalent. (Required)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Sales, Event Planning, or Customer Service. (Required)
• Valid driver’s license (Required)
• Must be able to pick up 30-40lbs
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communication, or related field. (Bonus)
• Superb people and communication skills.
• Well-organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent on-the-fly problem solving skills to navigate unexpected bumps in the road.
• Creative, “think outside the box” mindset.

Pay and Hours:
