The Technician is responsible for evaluating the window coverings and exterior shade needs of residential customers by actively listening to our customers and by following the Bloomin’ Blinds model to create and present options to the homeowners, perform window covering repairs, as well as install window covering/exterior shade products. This role requires good communication skills and basic window covering/exterior shade knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
-Developing strong customer relationships
-Measuring window openings with a laser and or tape measure
-Managing your time by following the schedule; showing up at the beginning times of appointments and providing accurate and prompt communication to customers
-Present multiple options to customers after actively listening to customers concerns, wants and design aesthetic
-Manage customer follow-ups and sales process
-Actively provide daily feedback from multiple appointments
-Achieve 5-star reviews daily and walk through the process of providing reviews with customers
-Follow the sales process, install process, and repair process as trained and developed by Bloomin’ Blinds
Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma/GED required
-Have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
-Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours
-Strong customer service skills
-Must pass random drug testing
-Be able to operate a smartphone and tablet
-Be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly, bend repeatedly, climb a ladder 12’, and kneel for extended periods of time
-Possess basic and/or advanced trade experience
-Present and communicate professionally (written and verbal)
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
-Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
-Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment
-Heavy lifting required (50-75) poundsWear personal protective equipment when needed
-Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
-Work both indoors and outdoors
-Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing when needed
-Work in high or elevated places
-Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolding
