Job description: Senior Oracle Weblogic Middleware AdministratorSeeking a Senior Oracle WebLogic Subject Matter Expert responsible for maintaining, administering, and supporting MuleSoft and Oracle SOA Suite 12c Middleware platforms integrations and infrastructures, Cloud native, OpenShift, Containerization, Tomcat in support of business initiatives. This is a full-time opportunity supporting our federal customer on site in Austin, TX. Veterans are encouraged to apply.Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 and is based on experience and technical interview.Location: 100% Remote opportunity supporting the Austin Texas supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs.Requirements:
- Experience navigating and configuring actions in Enterprise Manager, Administration Consoles, and Service Bus Consoles
- Experience developing OSB and SOA integrations using Service Bus Console and JDeveloper.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities to investigate and solved complex osb and soa composites integrations
- Experience using Test Consoles available in EM for OSB and SOA services
- Experience creating, editing, and deleting Weblogic resources like (Datasource, Queues, Connection Pools, File, JMS, FTP adapter configuration, etc)
- Experience with MDS (File and DB Based)
- Experience writing WLST & Python scripts to perform various action against a Weblogic domain
- Hands on experience in Ansibles (Automation)
- Experience activating, deactivating, retiring, unretiring, and deploying and undeploying SOA and OSB composites from EM and Jdeveloper.
- Written SOA composites using BPEL, Mediator, Business Rules, Human Flow, SOAP, WS, JMS, DB, HTTP, File, REST, and FTP adapters
- Written OSB Message Flow using Proxies, Pipelines, Business Services, Created Service Accounts
- Attached WSM policies, deployed common components to MDS and leveraged in osb and soa process
- Experience in managing soa and osb Admin and Manages servers on Windows and Linux machines
- Shell scripting, Unix and Linux, and windows administration experience
- Experience using GitHub, SOAUI, Postman
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall models and tools like JIRA, Agility, and Version1.
- Development experience in Mulesfot 4 Anypoint 7.12
Specific activities and associated deliverables include:
- Hands on installing, clustering, migrating, and upgrading from Oracle SOA Suite to MuleSoft
- Hands on installing, clustering, migrating, and upgrading from Weblogic to Apache Tomcat
- Ability to bridge the transition gap from Oracle SOA Suite 12c and to MuleSoft
- Ability to bridge the transition gap from Weblogic to Apache Tomcat
- Ability to bridge the transition gap from Oracle Cloud to Red Hat OpenShift
- Ability to provide the proper training knowledge to transition users of Oracle SOA Suite to MuleSoft
- Ability to provide the proper training knowledge to transition users of Weblogic to Apache Tomcat
- Extensive understanding of MuleSoft integration concepts to cross reference with Oracle SOA Suite
- Understanding the current trends of middleware design, infrastructure for AWS Cloud migration, & Containerization administration.
- Troubleshooting integrations through Enterprise Manager
- Deployment of SOA and OSB compoites
- Hands on Jdeveloper IDE, MDS, XML, Xref, Dvms, BPEL, Adapters
- Hands on in MuleSoft Anypoint IDE and understanding of the integration concepts

Responsibilities:
- Expert understanding of Oracle FMW, MuleSoft deployment topologies, integration patterns, best practices, and architectures to support mission critical and high availability implementations.
- Demonstrated experience WLST, Shell, Python, Ant, PowerShell, and Ansible scripting and ability to apply and automate tedious and repetitive tasks or jobs.
- Proven knowledge of working with Java technology, WebLogic and database are a must.
- Experience installing, migrating, patching, and upgrading of middleware technology from one version to another or one vendor to another vendor technology.
- Experience working on OpenShift, Azure, AWS cloud for Oracle WebLogic/FMW.
- Responsible for administration support for Oracle Fusion Middleware applications.
- Perform Tuning: Tuning of OpenShift, MuleSoft, WebLogic, J2EE. Develops standards and tuning metrics and alert thresholds.
- Create standardized alerts for telephone/pager devices for exceptional performance thresholds.
- Responsible for monitoring the performance and availability of WebLogic using enterprise manager 12c/13c
- Strong troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills related to middleware technologies that include but not limited to WebLogic, HTTP Server, etc.
- Configuration of LDAP and SSO for MuleSoft, OpenShift, WebLogic and WebLogic based products
- Maximize High-availability design, configuration, and maintenance, including clustering and load balancing for WebLogic, OpenShift, and MuleSoft
- Experience working DevOps tools like Jenkin, Splunk, Dynatrace, and others for integration with Oracle FMW.
- Hands on experience with Oracle Service Bus and Oracle SOA SCA concepts
- Knows his way around all the consoles, configurations, and troubleshooting needed for successful support
- Ability to adapt and adjust to multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.
- Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closure.
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with multiple levels of the organizational structure, including senior level management.
- Demonstrated applied knowledge of enterprise application delivery mechanisms and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience of defining architecture and data management strategies to support the business’ strategy.
- Experience in quarterly patching schedule and applying or rolling back the patches in case of a failure.
- Perform Migrations: Migrate code between test QA and production environments.
- Create Documentation: Develops a complete set of WebLogic documentation describing the current configuration of Middleware Technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 12 years relevant work experience
- 6 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- Must have experience in the creation of routine and ad hoc reports.
- Must be able to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Documenting policies and procedures.
- Provides analysis and policy insights to government customer via written reports and briefings.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess the organization’s policies, systems, and practices, and to identify potential risks.
- Ability to identify and improve processes to ensure smooth workflow and maximum productivity.
