Job description: We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Postpartum Nursing to lead our growing women’s health department at a premier healthcare facility in Austin, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of maternal care in one of America’s most vibrant cities.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize postpartum and lactation services, including couplet care and IMC units
- Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
- Manage clinical operations, staffing, and budgets for a expanding women’s health center
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in patient-centered care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Drive initiatives to improve patient experience and staff engagement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance existing services and develop new offerings
Qualifications
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Current RN license in Texas or ability to obtain
- BCLS certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in women’s health or maternal care
- At least 2 years in a nursing leadership role
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based postpartum and lactation practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
