Join us today and experience Life at Visa.Job DescriptionVisa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to:
- Design and implement engineering solutions for consumer facing mobile and digital products.
- Design and implement database applications to service Visa digital and product needs.
- Design and execute software testing in accordance with Visa software quality assurance processes analysis of product requirements in order to translate requirements into designs.
- Communicate and work with business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise to resolve customer issues.
- Work on technical evaluations of technologies and designs in order to build optimal solutions that leverage the IT infrastructure.
- Work with Agile scrum masters and program managers to deliver solutions in adherence with Visa software project management processes.
- Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
- Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. SW Engineer-related occupation.
- Java, REST, Spring, and JPA
- HTTP, XML, JSON, WS*, AXIS, and JERSEY
- Test Driven Development
- Apache Tomcat and Maven
- SpringBoot, Spring MVC, Microservices architecture, and/or RESTful web services
- React JS, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with API Gateway
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Automation tests using Selenium WebDriver.
Additional InformationWorksite: Austin, TXThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.Visa is an EEO Employer.
