They are looking for a dynamic and seasoned paralegal that will work closely with one of the firm’s partners. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, possess strong organizational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. In addition, this position works out of the Austin office, with an option for a hybrid work schedule, depending on the candidate’s level of experience and our partner’s preference.Job Description:
- Prepare pleadings, motions, court orders, file pleadings with court clerks, and assist the attorney in mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences
- Work directly with clients by conducting in take calls, preparing attorneys for initial consultations, prepare spreadsheets, draft discovery requests, maintain calendar accuracy, and prepare correspondence to opposing counsels or parties
- Assist with coordination of subpoena delivery to witness or parties that require prompt action and assist clients to comply with discovery requests
- Work closely with the attorneys to analyze and resolve recurring problems that are specific to family law cases
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of Family Law experience required
- Expert understanding of the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
- Exceptional prioritization, problem solving, creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Thirst for knowledge and aptitude to learn/utilize new software/technology
- Undergraduate degree and paralegal certification preferred
