You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.THE PERSON:The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Should understand GPU and computer system architecture, along with strong proficiency in C++. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products

Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologiesDesign and develop high-quality software tools for GPU profilingOptimize the performance of GPU profiling tools and systemsStay informed of software and hardware developments, especially pertaining to latest algorithms and architecture, and help enhance libraries and tools in ROCmParticipating in new ASIC and hardware bring upsDebugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same workDevelop technical relationships with peers and partnersPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Strong object-oriented programming background and C/C++ skillsExperience with GPU programming technologies HIP/OpenCL is a plusAbility to write high quality code with a keen attention to detailExperience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIsStrong understanding of GPU architecture and computer system architectureExperience with Windows, Linux and/or Android operating system developmentExperience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plusEffective communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
