Job description: Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Austin, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.Responsibilities:

• Implement and operate IT security solutions to ensure the infrastructure is secure
• Well-versed in best practice and regularly interface with GIS team for latest guidance, recommendations and requirements
• Consult regularly and provide research and decisions on security-related items in support of our applications
• Assist in the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques
• Coordinate the reporting data security incidents
• Provide technical support to client and management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products
• Execute security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs
• Research attempted efforts to compromise security protocols
• Administer security policies to control access to systems and maintains the company firewall
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Use and apply basic technical principles, concepts and techniques

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of IT experience

Desired skills:

• Experience with TippingPoint IDS
• Experience with proxy management (BlueCoat, McAfee Web Gateway, etc.)
• Experience with certificate management. Experience with HSMs
• Experience with pen-testing and vulnerability scanning
