Unlock your potential!Job Summary of the CT TechnologistUnder the general direction of the Director of Imaging Services and Manager of Imaging Services, and provides health care services by applying x-ray energy and computer processing techniques to assist in diagnostic or treatment. Performs computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient’s conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

• Perform computed tomography procedures.
• Acquire and formats all exams in the required setting along with proper clinical history.
• Plan and directs volume of patients and examinations.
• Maintain a well-cleaned and supplied department at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested by Director of Imaging Services or Manager.

Qualifications of the CT TechnologistEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:

• Registered Technologist with the American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography with the ARRT within 90 days of employment start date
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license through the Texas Medical Board (TMB),
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a CT technologist

is a 200+ bed acute-care facility located north of Austin, Texas. This comprehensive medical center features the only hybrid operating room in the county, a 24-hour emergency department with a Level II trauma center, and leading-edge cardiac care through the Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David’s Round Rock.
