Focused on implementing, operating, and maintaining a robust and compliant research IT ecosystem for multiple projects simultaneously.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage security standards, guidelines, policies, procedures, processes and controls based on best practices, compliance frameworks, and audit findings.Implement a program to provide college wide infrastructure, resources, and support for research involving controlled unclassified information (CUI). Collaborate with staff, faculty, students, and researchers to establish secure research computing and laboratory environments that comply with federal requirements for protecting CUI.Engage in ongoing risk assessment across the college research environment, develop risk registers aligned to NIST controls, and implement risk mitigation controls in collaboration with academic units, and researchers.Evaluate new and existing technologies for compliance with information governance controls (e.g., access, authentication, encryption, logging, retention).Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering , Security or equivalents.Minimum 3 years of experienceSignificant experience implementing and operating CUI, NIST, ITAR compliant hybrid environments.Deep and broad Linux, Windows, Networking, Cloud, and security compliance experience.(Ubuntu, RedHat, Robots/ROS, CMMC, CUI, ITAR, NIST, TCP, …)Able to architect and fortify research endeavors expertly and verify artifacts as such.Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt to the rapidly changing technologies.Work on-site and well under pressure with crucial timelines and accountability.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsArticulate and collaborative with the ability to make things happen.Comprehensive understanding and appreciation of leading-edge research and security requirements.Management console and ecosystem expertise (GCC High, Intune, Orcharhino, SDNs, VRFs, …)Imaginative and industrious.Security clearances may be needed for some work.Salary Range$95,000 – depending on qualificationsWorking ConditionsMay work around standard office conditions.Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.Work ShiftStandard work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Periodic work outside of normal business hours, to include evenings and weekends, may be required on a periodic basis or for special events.Required MaterialsResume/CV3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisorLetter of interestImportant for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume in the first step of the online job application process.
