**1 Software Developer 2**

Under the guidance of technical architects and leads, this role involves developing, integrating, and testing web applications using React and Node.js frameworks, as well as REST applications/microservices with Java Spring/Core and Hibernate.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop, integrate, and test web applications with React and Node.js frameworks.
* Create REST applications and microservices using Java Spring/Core and Hibernate.
* Collaborate effectively within a multi-scrum team environment.
* Communicate clearly and work well with team members and stakeholders.
* Assist in research, architecture, design, prototyping, troubleshooting, mentoring, and direction.
* Conduct load testing, code quality checks, and ensure application security compliance.
* Develop, maintain, and support applications using Java technologies.
* Serve as a technical lead in one or more areas.
* Integrate and verify code developed by internal and external teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

* 7yrs – Required – Hands on experience in development of applications using Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) Platform
* 7yrs – Required – Spring Framework
* 7yrs – Required – Java RESTful web services using JSON
* 7yrs – Required – Agile methodology
* 4yrs – Required – Unit and System testing of code
* 4yrs – Required – JPA, Hibernate or equivalent
* 4yrs – Required – Oracle Database or equivalent
* 4yrs – Required – React.js, Node.js, Redux
* 3yrs – Preferred – GitLab
* 2yrs – Preferred – Maven or Ansible
* 2yrs – Preferred – Reporting using Jasper or PowerBI
* 2yrs – Preferred – Jersey or equivalent
* 1yrs – Preferred – ThymeLeaf or equivalent
* 1yrs – Preferred – Visual Studio Code
* 1yrs – Preferred – Responsive design and coding to adapt to phones, tablets and other devices

**Work hours and location:**
* Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the
**Texas Parks and Wildlife Department**
. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from
**8:00 AM to 5:00 PM**
, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
