If you’re looking for a place that helps you do the best work of your career, look no further than BILL.Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech CompanyThe Staff FinOps Engineer at BILL will be responsible for leading the financial operations and optimization of the company’s cloud infrastructure. This staff-level role requires deep expertise in cloud financial management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive strategic cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, finance, and Infra teams to ensure effective cloud cost management and financial accountability.We’d love to chat if you have:
- 8+ years of experience in cloud financial management, financial analysis, cloud computing, or a related role
- Deep understanding of AWS cost management tools and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go
- Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture and services, including containerization (ECS/EKS), compute, storage, networking, databases, etc.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Experience in automating cloud resource provisioning and management
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk)
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer)
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or other relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
What You’ll Do In This Role
- Monitoring and optimizing cloud costs, with a focus on AWS
- Creating and presenting financial reports and maintaining dashboards
- Collaborating with engineering, INFRA, and finance teams to manage cloud costs
- Enhancing financial processes through improvements and automation
- Training and mentoring team members on cost management
