We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional in Austin, TX or the surrounding area to join our dynamic and passionate team as a Manager of Sponsorship Sales & Athlete Partnerships, in support of the University of Texas, Texas One Fund, and Texas student-athletes.In this position, you’ll play a key role in driving sales of NIL campaigns and endorsement opportunities, while also guiding student-athletes in building their personal and social media brands. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by helping student-athletes succeed while driving innovative marketing solutions for brands and businesses. - Campaign Sales: Proactively pitch and sell NIL campaigns and endorsement opportunities to brands and local businesses, focusing on the unique value that student-athletes bring as influencers and brand ambassadors
- Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brands, local businesses, and marketing agencies, ensuring long-term success in partnership engagements
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain an organized sales pipeline, ensuring focused efforts on high-potential leads and opportunities
- Public Speaking and Communication: Deliver compelling presentations and pitches to potential clients, demonstrating the value of NIL opportunities and the benefits of partnering with student-athletes.
- Athlete Consultation: Work closely with student-athletes to help them understand and enhance their personal and social media brands, offering guidance on effective self-promotion and engagement strategies
- Collaboration: Work in a collaborative team environment, contributing to collective goals while managing individual responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- Sales Experience: 2+ years of sales experience or equivalent, with a demonstrated ability in new business development. Experience selling marketing solutions to local businesses or brands is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively in both one-on-one and group settings
- Brand-Building Experience: Familiarity with personal brand building and social media influencer marketing, with the ability to guide student-athletes in developing their online presence
- Self-Starter: Organized, proactive, and able to manage workload independently, with support and guidance from management
- Team Player: Works well in a collaborative team environment, contributing to both individual and team success
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in college athletics or working with college student-athletes is a plus

- Local Market Expertise: Knowledge of the Austin, Texas market and established relationships with local businesses and brands
- Sports-Related Sales Background: Previous experience in sports sponsorship sales or NIL-related campaigns
