Job description: Overview:AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) – A wonderful family of 5 near West Lake seeks a FULL-TIME, LIVE-OUT NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT to support their household and help care for their three children, ages 5, 3, and 9 months. Hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM, Tuesday-Friday, and 1 PM to 9 PM on Saturdays. The exact schedule may change week to week depending on the kids’ activities, but 40 hours per week are guaranteed.The 3- and 5-year-olds attend school on weekdays from 8 AM to 3 PM. After school, they have activities such as piano, swimming, or gymnastics, depending on the day. The youngest is home all day, and the nanny would have sole charge of the baby while the older children are at school (from 11 AM to 3 PM). Mom typically helps with at least one child when all three are present, so the nanny will rarely be responsible for all three children independently. Mom stays at home and is in and out throughout the day, as she is actively involved with the kids. Dad primarily works from home. The family is seeking a partner who can actively engage with the children and help keep the household running smoothly. Candidates must be comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home parent and willing to be a part of the family! The family has a pet cat, so candidates must not have any cat allergies.In addition to complete childcare, the nanny will be responsible for simple snack/meal prep for the children, as well as assisting with light household chores (e.g., family laundry, dishes, trash) when there is downtime/when the baby naps. Additional tasks include running errands and maintaining organization and cleanliness in the home. The family has a housekeeper, so no heavy cleaning is required. A family car will be provided for use while on the job. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.The family travels several times a year, both domestically and internationally, and would love for the nanny to join them. A willingness to work overnights a couple of weekends per year while the parents travel independently is a huge plus!The ideal candidate is a team player who actively engages with the kids, enjoys playing on their level, and is punctual, reliable, and proactive. The family seeks someone playful and energetic, who enjoys staying busy.Pay is $28-38/hour gross paid via payroll, depending on experience. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, and vacation.
