Position Overview
We are seeking a self-directed IT intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects to improve retail applications and work closely with a mentor.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in projects throughout all phases of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).Apply IT knowledge and skills to propose action, designs, provide technical coordination, or conduct implementation activities to drive IT solutions.Conduct research, gather and interpret requirements, conduct analysis and/or develop recommendations and artifacts related to IT processes and/or products.Assist in documenting business requirements and flow diagrams.Assist Architect and System Engineers to develop/configure small sized project.Assist the team in creating the test plan and tracking progress of testing.Assist the testing team in executing end-to-end testing and creating daily status reports.Create and update JIRA tickets for defect tracking.Create technical and end user documentation and training for system modifications and business process changes.Perform other related duties as required or assigned by mentor.Our Ideal Candidate Will HaveCurrently enrolled and pursuing a degree in computer science or information technology.Ability to work within a team dynamic and independently, as situationally necessary.Basic understanding of SQL and JAVA.Excellent problem solving and communication skills.Effective project and time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.Great interpersonal and presentation skills; the ability to effectively communicate and interact with various levels of personnel.Enthusiasm for learning through a combination of structured, on-the-job, and self-directed training.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.DivisionHome OfficePosition TypeTemporary
